Vacation Bible Camp is a fun, half-day camp for children ages 3 (by 9-1-16 and potty-trained) through entering 6th grade held for a week in July every year. The theme changes annually, but always includes powerful Bible stories, impactful music, fun craft and science activities, special visitors, recreation, and a mission project to benefit organizations and people in need.
This year’s theme is Surf Shack! Catch the Wave of God’s Amazing Love, July 18-22, 2016.
Online Registration Has Ended. 🙁
We were able to offer online registration for the first time this year, but in this final week before the camp, we need to close our online registration on July 11. You can still pay online, however, even with a paper form. Download the registration form (pdf) by clicking here.To pay online, click here. Remember to include your late fee of $15 for registrations after June 30, 2016, and include the name(s) of your child(ren) in the comments section. A contact number is helpful too.
If you prefer to pick up a hard copy registration form, stop by the church office. You can also email Rev. Brenda Smith, our children’s ministries director, for a form. The cost is just $35/student or $70/family, although late registrations (after June 30) are assessed an additional $15 fee. You may pay online via GIVE NOW or by check, payable to PVUMC, with “VBC registration/CHILD NAME” in the memo line.
One of the components of VBC is a mission project, and this year, we’re supplying kitchen kits for families at UMOM New Day Centers. We had a drive on the first Sunday in March, 2016, and will continue this summer. Click here to read more about this mission opportunity.
If you’re interested in volunteering, please contact Rev. Andrea Andress or Rev. Brenda Smith. Volunteers receive a special discount on registration fees, and childcare for their little ones too young to participate in VBC. Youth volunteers must be in 7th grade or older. Thank you for being God’s love in action!
