All 1st-6th graders are invited to join our afterschool music program every Wednesday, 4:30-5:30 pm beginning August 17, 2016. You do not have to be a PVUMC member to take advantage of this wonderful, free afterschool program directed by Bonnie Greey, the Children’s Music Director, and Ashley Snavley, Music and Arts Director.

Children learn how to read music, play handbells and other rhythm instruments, as well as sing and act. They perform in a Christmas musical (pageant), scheduled in worship at 9:30 am on Sunday, December 11.

While your children are singing and ringing, you’re invited to join Sojourners, a class which meets in the church library, G2, during the same time as Music Makers. If you have younger children, we have an onsite Childcare Center where you can reserve childcare while you are on campus. Simply call 602-840-8360, ext 134 at least 48 hours in advance to reserve a spot for your child.

Sojourners will begin its fall season with a new emphasis on parenting, with Rev. Andrea Andress leading a six-week class on Love and Logic, in anticipation of our visiting speaker, Dr. Charles Fay, who will speak on campus Sunday, September 18. Join us for worship at 9:30 am in the sanctuary for his message on The Family I’ve Always Wanted: Three Gifts We Can Give Our Children.

Bonnie Greey also directs Praise Singers, our Sunday morning music group for children in 1st-7th grade. It meets at the start of our Sunday School program, in H1, at 9:30 am every Sunday. Email Bonnie for more information.
