Everyone knows someone with a disability.

Jake McCann, a member of PVUMC’s young adult group, has a personal story to tell, and invites everyone to a presentation on “Erasing the Stigma of Learning Disabilities” on Sunday, August 28, 12:30-2 pm, in H1. A light lunch will be available for a $5 donation.

He will talk about some common misconceptions, and help the audience gain a better understanding of learning disabilities.

This event is hosted by the Young Adult Lifegroup, an inclusive group of God-seeking young adults who like to explore and engage our beliefs through a variety of experiences. If you’re in your 20s, plus or minus a few years, and are interested in exploring your faith in a supportive and friendly community, we invite you to join us anytime. We meet nearly every Sunday after the Ignite worship service, and share our calendar of events every quarter. We have brochures available in the church office. These include our three-month calendar.
