On October 25, 1988, President Reagan designated the entire month of October 1988 as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. When a baby dies through miscarriage, stillbirth, newborn death, or SIDS, family, friends, and acquaintances face grief and uncertainties in everyday relationships. To offer more support and understanding, PVUMC’s Caring Ministry team is in the initial stages of starting a program designed to help family, friends, and acquaintances explore understanding of this type of loss, learn helpful responses, and give support to parents, grandparents and those emotionally close to parents.

We are looking for input from parents, grandparents, and friends who have experienced a loss of pregnancy or death of a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth, newborn death, or SIDS. If you are willing to share your story or your experience as family or friends, please contact: Judy Harmon at lorennjude@cox.net or 602-300-5584 text or Chris Midyett crmidyett@aol.com or text 602-403-2721.
