Vacation Bible Camp is a fun, half-day camp for children ages 3 (by 9-1-17 and potty-trained) through entering 6th grade held for a week in July every year. The theme changes annually, but always includes powerful Bible stories, impactful music, fun craft and science activities, recreation, and a mission project to benefit organizations and people in need. Older elementary children take an in-town mission trip on Thursday to FMSC (Feed My Starving Children). Visit fmsc.org to see the impact of this outreach across the world and read about PVUMC’s monthly packing opportunities for families.

The highlight of the week is the Family Night where we hear the children sing, families make a faith craft together, and we share highlights from the week, as we share ice cream together.

This year’s theme is Hero Central! Discover Your Strength in God, July 17-21, 2017, 9 am – 12 noon.

Volunteering and Orientation

If you’re interested in volunteering, please contact Rev. Andrea Andress or Rev. Brenda Smith to have the form emailed to you. Fill it out, drop it off at the church office for Brenda or Andrea, OR scan and email to one of them.

Volunteers who work at least three days receive a special discount on registration fees (see the registration form), and childcare for their little ones too young to participate in VBC.

Youth volunteers must be in 7th grade or older.

Plan to come to Volunteer Orientation on Saturday, July 15, 2017, 10-11:30 am in Room H1. If you have not previously taken Safe Sanctuary training, please arrive at 9 am for the 45-minute training session.

We would love your help with set up and decorating too! Please plan on staying for lunch and helping 11:30 am-12:30 pm.

Thank you for being God’s love in action!
