Our Church and Society Ministry Team focuses on issues that affect the quality of life of people near and far. They host a variety of events during which information is exchanged and topics are discussed. Please refer to the calendar for information on events.
"Let's Talk" is an informal forum hosted several times a year on topics of interest.
Interfaith Dialogue is an opportunity to promote dialogue with members of other faith traditions.
Domestic Violence Education Sunday is held in October every year to stimulate discussion and educate the community about violence in the home.
JustPeace
In any gathering of people – including Christians – conflict of opinions, ideas, and beliefs can occur and lead to stress and schism. JustPeace provides
a way to resolve conflict following the principles of our religious beliefs.
The mission of JustPeace is to engage conflict constructively in ways that strive for justice, reconciliation, resource preservation and restoration of the
community in and through the United Methodist Church and with the Church universal.

The four phases to the JustPeace task force ministry:
- Build congregational awareness.
- Emphasize a relational and preventative focus.
- Provide internal consultative services to specific issues.
- Provide mediation service for reactive conflict resolution
