Building the Future
God’s Love in Action
Sometimes we have to remind ourselves why the God of providence has entrusted us with so much: “Your plenty will supply what they need . . . . You will be made rich . . . .so that you can be generous on every occasion.”
2 Cor. 8:14, 9:11.
The PVUMC Foundation is an important part of financial stability for future ministry here at PVUMC. Our Foundation supports special projects outside of our church budget, including scholarships, captital and building needs, and missional opportunities to reach out to our community and world. Giving to God’s great causes gives us a sense of destiny and helps our church build a bridge to the future.
Our Foundation has provided scholarships to seminary students, supported the training of Stephen Ministers in our church, and helped to underwrite the cost of lectures and special events that bring newcomers to our church, enrich faith and address issues for building healthy families, marriages and parenting.
The PVUMC Foundation stands ready to receive your gifts — from your Estate, as a provision in your Will, or directly. We will invest these gifts, and they will augment the needs of the Church for generations to come.
The Foundation Is Able to Receive:
- Outright gifts such as cash, stocks, and bonds. We have expertise available to review the tax advantages that result from making such gifts.
- Life Insurance can be gifted to the Foundation by naming it as both the owner and beneficiary of your policy. The Foundation can also be named as contingent beneficiary if family members do not survive the insured.
- Life Income Gifts that provide you with immediate income tax deductions as well as lifetime income. The remainder of such gifts revert to the Foundation. Examples of such include gift annuities, charitable lead trusts, charitable remainder unitrusts and more.
Will you help us grow the PVUMC Foundation? Our endowed gifts today assure we can provide unique and strong ministries for tomorrow. Your gifts will ignite faith, transform lives and create community for years to come.
