Feed My Starving Children (FMSC)

FMSC is a Christian non-profit organization that was founded in 1987. A four-star rated charity via Charity Navigator, FMSC tackles world hunger by sending volunteer-packed, nutritious meals to children around the world. Meals are delivered to children in orphanages, schools, clinics and community centers. The hundreds of extraordinary missions and human service organizations, embedded in nearly 70 countries around the world, use the food not just to save lives, but also to operate orphanages, hospitals, schools, and other projects that build communities long-term. In 2013, FMSC volunteers packed about 190 million meals and 99% of the meals reached their destinations safely. FMSC is the original and largest provider of nutritionally complete meals for the world’s starving children.

PVUMC partners with FMSC by participating in monthly packing sessions and by donating. The meal-packing sessions include learning about hunger and highlighting how we can help solve the world’s hunger problem just by giving a little time and a little money.
