Imagine No Malaria

PVUMC Commits to Save More Than 28,200 Lives for Imagine No Malaria

As part of the worldwide Imagine No Malaria campaign, PVUMC pledged to save 15,000 lives ($150,000).

To date, we have surpassed this goal by more than 13,000 lives and the number keeps climbing! Our congregation has rallied behind this campaign and committed to save more than 28,260 lives by giving $282,605 over the course of the three-year campaign. We have reason to celebrate!

Imagine No Malaria is a four-pronged approach by the worldwide United Methodist Church to eliminate malaria from sub-Saharan Africa. It includes Prevention, Education, Communication and Treatment. The cost is $10 to save one life. The Desert Southwest Conference has pledged to save 200,000 lives.

Besides individual pledges, many of our church ministries organized fundraising events to raise money for the campaign, including the Children’s Ministry Team, FaithQuakes and Sunday School, the Young Adults, and the Welcoming Ministry Team.

Since Imagine No Malaria is a three-year campaign, it is not too late to start a multi-year pledge or give a donation.

Thank you for your pledges and prayers. God is good!
