Wednesday, April 18
6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Room H-1
We view the world through lenses of perception (viewpoints), but often don’t take time to examine the lenses themselves. Each lens we filter our world through can be distorted according to our own personality patterns. Dr. Jerome Wagner helps us look at the nine personality lenses of the Enneagram and how they may become distorted.
Each lens has a sweet spot or intuitive edge. It also has a blind spot, where we perceive reality outside our paradigm and so can be cloudy. Every lens also contains a hot spot of vulnerability which we are particularly sensitive to. This class will offer a foretaste of what the Jerome Wagner Workshop of May 5-6 will speak to in integrating our inner polarities. You are encouraged to begin reading Wagner’s book, Nine Lenses on the World: The enneagram perspective. Some copies are available from Rev. Andrea Andress or at any bookstore or online. The book discussion will be led by Rev. Andrea Andress and members of the Transformational Living Team. Please register at the church office. The class is open to everyone and there is no cost. For information contact Rev. Andress at 602-840-8360 ext. 142 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Class location: Paradise Valley UMC, 4455 E. Lincoln Drive, Paradise Valley, AZ 85253 room H-1. A meal is served in Fellowship Center from 5:30 – 6:30 pm for donation of $5.00.
