Arizona Enneagram Association Fall Workshop:
Somatic Wisdom: Using Body Intelligence to Relax Type Structure
Presented by Terry Saracino & Marion Gilbert
November 10–11, 2012

This workshop will focus on a somatic (body) approach to working with the reactivity of our type structures. Using a somatic entry into our automatic neural pathways adds a new dimension to the already familiar cognitive-emotional habits of type. These pathways are highly conditioned and difficult to recognize as they are operating underneath the cognitive mind awareness. Using the inner observer and the somatic approach we can recognize these patterns and create the possibility for having greater freedom in our response. The workshop combines panels using the method of somatic inquiry, didactic, experiential and contemplative methods to deepen your understanding and experience of your type and other types.

Terry Saracino, MA, MBA is President of the nonprofit Enneagram Studies in the Narrative Tradition and on the faculty of the world-renowned Enneagram Professional Training Program (EPTP). She has taught the Enneagram since 1989, bringing it to individuals and organizations throughout the USA and internationally. In addition to her work with EPTP, Terry teaches workshops on the transformative power of the Enneagram and co-facilitates numerous courses with Helen Palmer and David Daniels. She is passionate about the Enneagram’s value in transforming lives and creating a more compassionate world.

Marion Gilbert, R.P.T., has been practicing physical therapy for 34 years and is the co-owner of a well-established physical therapy practice and movement studio in Grass Valley, CA. She has extensive training in CranioSacral Therapy, Somato-Emotional Release and Trauma Resolution. She has been actively using the Enneagram professionally and personally for the past eight years. She emphasizes using somatic experience as an avenue for facilitation of personal transformation in the Narrative Tradition Enneagram work, with a specific interest in developing somatic experience in relationship to spiritual awareness. She is an Associate of the nonprofit Enneagram Studies in the Narrative Tradition and currently teaches Deepening Spiritual Awareness (part of the Enneagram Professional Training Program) and advanced Enneagram trainings with Helen Palmer and Terry Saracino.
