Join VIP (Valley Interfaith Project) for its first meeting with newly elected state officials and key legislators on Tuesday, November 18 at 7 pm at Paradise Valley United Methodist Church. The agenda includes ratifying the proposed 2015 Human Development Agenda:
- Restoration of Public Education Funding
- Prevent backsliding of Medicaid expansion
- Arizona Career Pathways: Workforce Skills Development for high-wage jobs
- Prison reform
- Humane State immigration policy
- Respite care
The meeting will also examine Arizona’s 2015 legislative choices (austerity or investment) and how to build civic capacity via VIP. Special guest Tom Rex, associate director of ASU’s WP Carey School of Business, Center for Competitiveness and Prosperity Research, will lead part of the discussion.
