Join us on Saturday, December 13 for a Family Christmas Caroling Celebration in the Fellowship Center, 10 am-12 noon. We’ll have bouncy houses, model trains, hot cocoa and cookie decorating, and a visit from Santa. We’ll also have a live band — Pastor Dave Summers and his band, God Help Us! — an lots of opportunities to listen to and sing our favorite Christmas carols. Please bring an unwrapped baby gift or toy to donate to the children at UMOM. Other opportunities to give will be on Sunday, December 14 at the 9:30 am worship service, when the Music Makers perform the Children’s Christmas Pageant, Room for Christmas. Sunday School children are invited to go with their classes to see the musical, or sit with their parents during the performance and worship service. The following Sunday, on December 21, our Sunday School classes will have birthday parties in honor of Jesus, the newborn king. If your child would like to bring a gift for Jesus, please bring something a baby (and new mother) would love — a package of disposable diapers, baby blanket, onesies, rattles, etc. Everything will be donated to UMOM to bring joy to the children at Arizona’s largest homeless shelter for families. It’s a great opportunity to share God’s love with others at this special time of year, and teach your children the joy of giving.
