We invite you to celebrate Christmas Eve with us, and offer five different worship services to help you feel the hope, peace, love and joy of this special day and evening.
At 3 pm, we’ll offer our nontraditional service in the Chapel, with our Praise Band leading a contemporary service, similar to our 11:15 am Sunday Ignite worship experience. This early service is a good option for those who have evening plans, who don’t like to drive at night, or have small children, as well as anyone who prefers this distinctively different service. We’ll feature a blessing of the baby Jesus, and invite you to bring your own baby Jesus figurines from your nativity sets at home to be blessed at this service, or at 5 pm. The 3 pm will also feature a Children’s Moment.
If you prefer a traditional candlelight experience, come to one of our services in the Sanctuary. The children’s choir will sing at 5 pm, the youth and Chancel Choir at 7 pm, and the Paradise Singers and Chancel Choir at 9 pm. The 11 pm service will be a service of lessons and carols, and we will serve communion. All will feature congregational singing, including “Silent Night” as we hold our candles and remember Jesus’ birth.
A strings ensemble plays at 7, 9 and 11 pm, and a path of luminarias will light your way to the Sanctuary at our two later services. The Holy Family also makes an appearance at all of our services, and we invite you to take photos in our outdoor “stable” on the Sanctuary patio.
Free, quality childcare is available in our Childcare Center (as space and caregiver ratios allow) at 3, 5, and 7 pm. A cry room next to the Sanctuary is available for all evening services.
The Christmas Eve message, delivered by Senior Pastor Dave Summers at all services, wraps us our Advent series, “Unexpected,” with Part 5: The Meaning of the Manger.
