Brett Robison will be leaving PVUMC at the end of 2014, and begins a new position as Director of Choral Activities at Waldorf College in Forest City, IA on January 1, 2015. The church supports his decision, which will allow him to be closer to his family (his wife and three children live in Iowa) while he continues to work in his chosen career –music.
The Pastors/Staff/Parish Relations Committee (PSPRC) and the Chancel Choir will be hosting a reception for Brett following the 9:30 am worship service on Sunday, December 21. We invite you to contribute to a love gift for Brett as well. If paying by check, payable to PVUMC, please write “Brett Robison love gift” in the memo line, and place it in the offering plate on any Sunday through December.
Below is part of a letter Brett sent to the PVUMC Staff, members of the PVUMC Music Ministry and supporters of our ministry,
“I cannot thank you enough for your support and the opportunities that you have provided me during my tenure [three and a half years] at PVUMC…. I have been honored to share ministry with you all and have grown as a person, musician, and follower of Christ because of this experience. I will cherish my time at PVUMC and know that God will continue to bless this community of faith.”
He also shared this scripture from Philippians 1:3-6, “I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
PVUMC (with PSPRC) has appointed Organist and Assistant Director of Music and Arts Ministries, Ashley Snavley, Interim Director as of January 1, 2015. A search for a new director will begin immediately.
