The Desert Southwest Conference Board of Church and Society, in cooperation with PVUMC’s Church and Society ministry team, presents a seminar on “Economic Inequality and the Church,” Thursday, February 12, 7-8:30 pm in Room H1. As we seek to address economic inequality in today’s society, where the great majority of Americans are still living paycheck to paycheck despite an expanded workforce, technological advances, and gains in productivity, we’ll address these questions, and discuss possible solutions:

  1. What is the situation; what is happening?
  2. Why should we care? (from a spiritual and social justice perspective)
  3. What should the Church do about it?

Please join us for a meaningful discussion about the social changes happening right now, and what we can do about them as a faithful people of God.
