Join us for our annual FaithQuakes PanQuake Breakfast on Sunday, February 8, 2015, 8:30-11:15 am in the Fellowship Center. Come after the 8 am service, or before the 9:30 or 11:15 [Ignite] am worship services to enjoy all-you-can-eat pancakes, cooked to order by our 4th-6th grade FaithQuakes students and their parents (or grandparents/caregivers/teachers). The suggested donation is just $5 ($3 for under 10), and includes single side servings of sausage, juice and/or coffee, assorted cereal and fruit.
All proceeds go toward the UMC Camp Mingus Challenge Course and camp scholarships, which allow children and youth to attend camp who may not otherwise have the means to enjoy the Christian camping experience. This annual mission fundraiser raised approximately $1,000 last year for Camp Mingus, and this year, the group hopes to surpass that goal.
Debby Kidwell and her family help lead and organize the PanQuake Breakfast every year, and Debby has served as our dean for Discovery Camp for several years. This year, the camp will be Monday, June 29-Friday, July 3, 2015. Click here for more information or to register. Note: This camp is only 5 days so children can return home for the holiday weekend.
In the fall, 2014, the FaithQuakes group hosted the annual Cookie Walk for the first time, and raised $1,440 for Camp Mingus.
Please join us and we’ll make sure you don’t leave hungry!
The Paradise Perk will be open too, from 9 am-1 pm, for the best lattes, smoothies, tea and more! All proceeeds benefit youth ministry.
