ASH WEDNESDAY is February 18 and the beginning of Lent — a time to remember Jesus in the days leading up to his death and his resurrection on Easter. On Ash Wednesday morning, we will have ashes available on the bridges and walkways for those who would like to receive them. We mark the sign of the cross on our foreheads on that day as an invitation to step into the Lenten season, remembering that our life is always in God’s hands. It’s a powerful, non-verbal way to experience God’s forgiveness and renewal.

We will also offer two Ash Wednesday services that day, that include ashes as well. The first is at 12 noon in our Chapel. There is also an evening service in the Sanctuary at 6:30 pm. Pastor Eve preaches at both services. Click here to read the scripture.

Every week during Lent, classes will meet to discuss our church-wide Lenten book study on The God We Can Know: Exploring the I AM Sayings of Jesus, by Rob Fuquay. Click here for the list of classes.

Please stop by the church office or call us with any questions. Peace be with you.
