Paradise Valley UMC has partnered with several faith communities (listed below) in this annual food drive to mark the anniversary of 9/11 in a constructive and collaborative way. Organized by the Islamic Speakers Bureau of Arizona, the event shares a theme common to all Abrahamic faith traditions: caring for the needy among us.

Azra Hussain, director of the Islamic Speakers’ Bureau of Arizona (ISBA), and organizer of the Valleywide 9/11 Multi-Faith Food Drive on September 6, will be at PVUMC Sunday, August 30 to speak to several of our adult Sunday classes at 9:30 and 11 am, including Home Improvement, Modern Family, the Wesley Sunday School Group, and Bible, Beliefs and Beyond. Please check the calendar for meeting times and rooms. If you are interested in knowing more about Islam, and have questions about this faith tradition, we invite you to come to one of the classes. PVUMC is partnering with several other faith communities in the food drive next week. Please take a grocery bag as you leave worship.
