PVUMC has written and published its first Advent study guide, Waiting, and it’s available for purchase at the church. Stop by the church office during the week, or buy a digital copy — a Kindle book — at Amazon. Search for “Waiting Advent” at Amazon, or click here for the direct link.

The digital book costs $6.99 and the paperback version (hard copy) costs $10. Only the digital copy is available on Amazon. The paperback is only available at PVUMC.

The book has five chapters, written by the clergy, as well as Christopher Wurpts, PVUMC’s youth ministries director, and Keith Sobraske, an Adult Learning leader. PVUMC member Cheryl Del Monte did the initial content editing, and Pam R. Selthun, communications director, edited for style, format and consistency. Each chapter focuses on a different type of waiting, offering brief commentary on passages of scripture, discussion questions to consider, and personal stories from members of our church family. We welcome your comments and feedback, and invite you to leave your reviews here in the comments section as well as at Amazon.com.

Our clergy will preach on the chapters throughout the season of Advent, November 29-December 24, 2015.

We also invite you to join an Advent study group. Classes are listed on the website calendar and many are listed below, with meeting times and dates.
