Margot Ratliff Speaks at Community Feast Wednesday, November 18, 2015
One of our young adult members recently came back from a life-changing experience and she’s ready to share it with her church community.
Margot Ratliff participated in The World Race, “a stretching journey into 11 countries in 11 months to serve “the least of these” while amongst real and raw community. This unique mission trip is a challenging adventure for young adults to abandon worldly possessions and a traditional lifestyle in exchange for an understanding that it’s not about you; it’s about the Kingdom.”
Click here to read her blog posts, and see photos from all the countries where she served. Join us on Wednesday, November 18 at 5:30 pm to have dinner with your church family, and hear from her, first-hand, about this life-changing journey. The menu for that evening will be: penne rustica, roast vegetable pasta (vegetarian option), roasted vegetables, garlic rolls, caesar salad and lemon ricotta cake. For more about The World Race, click here.
We invite you to join your PVUMC family once a week for dinner every Wednesday at the Community Feast, 5:30-6:15 pm in the Fellowship Center. Even if you don’t stay for the music rehearsals or Pathways classes afterwards, we hope you’ll take a break and dine with us whenever you’re able. The dinner is casual, and buffet-style, catered by UMOM’s Helpings Café and Catering, which supports UMOM and homeless families. Suggested donations are $7.50/adults and $3 for children (under 12).
Classes and music rehearsals follow the Feast. Check our events calendar for details. Click here to read about current Advent class offerings following the feast, and feel free to join any of them. All are welcome at the Feast, and at PVUMC.
