Pledge Your Support TODAY

Every year on Commitment Sunday, we invite you to pledge your support to Paradise Valley United Methodist Church. Your pledge helps us plan next
year’s budget and allows our ministries to grow responsibly. See the FAQs below for guidance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Why should I give?

A. As Christians, we understand that everything we have comes from God. We give out of love and gratitude for God, and to support God’s work through the church.

Q. How much should I give? 10 percent?

A. The Bible teaches us giving in proportion to the material blessings we receive. We encourage committing a percentage of your income and increasing that percentage over time. Tithing means giving the first tenth or 10 percent of your income to God.

Q. When should I give?

A. Regular, faithful giving cultivates a lifestyle of generosity and connects our generosity to our blessings. Pledge to give consistently — weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually.

New this year: Make an Online Pledge

We’re excited to offer a new online pledge form this year, as an alternative to the gold pledge card. Both show your commitment to PVUMC, so choose just one.

To make an online pledge, visit and fill out the online form. When you finish, you will be invited to set up recurring giving. See the gold card in the pew pockets on Sunday for other ways to give, or to request offering envelopes. Every situation is unique, so we encourage you to contact us with questions by calling the church office or emailing

Your pledges help us determine our budget for 2016-2017, beginning July 1. By pledging your support early, we can better budget for the future. Thank you for pledging your support to PVUMC.

If you are unable to make a decision today, we invite you to pray about how God is calling you to support the church. Submit the online pledge form anytime before June 30, 2016 to start your new pledge on July 1, 2016, or return your card to the church office.
