Dine with your Church Family at Wednesday’s Community Feast
We invite you to join your PVUMC family once a week for dinner every Wednesday at the Community Feast, 5:30-6:15 pm in the Fellowship Center. Even if you don’t stay for the music rehearsals or Pathways classes afterwards, we hope you’ll take a break and dine with us whenever you’re able. The dinner is casual, and buffet-style, catered by UMOM’s Helpings Café and Catering, which supports UMOM and homeless families. Suggested donations are $7.50/adults and $3 for children (under 12).
Occasionally, we have special speakers following the Feast. On Wednesday, March 30, 2016, we welcomed John Elmore, a Methodist missionary in Chile who is supported by PVUMC. He is associated with an agricultural school for Mapuche Indians in southern Chile, and teaches Sunday School. He is deeply involved in the Villa Emmaus Methodist Church in Angol, Chile. Elmore will discuss how he went from a self-employed carpenter to a mission volunteer to a missionary and mission volunteer coordinator, and will also discuss the role and life of a missionary.
On Wednesday, May 11, we will have a special presentation on how to sponsor a refugee family through Refugee Focus. Everyone is welcome to stay for the presentation and conversation beginning at 6 pm. See how you can get involved with this new interfaith initiative.
Classes and music rehearsals follow the Feast. Check our events calendar for details.
