“137 Miles: A Journey with Jesus” continues at PVUMC with the walk through Holy Week experience in Room H1, beginning Palm/Passion Sunday, March 20, 2016. Stop by 9:30 am-12:30 pm for a first look.

Visit the meditation stations in H1 that highlight the journey of Jesus from Mt Hermon to Jerusalem, as depicted from the Gospel of Luke known as the Travelogue (Luke 9-19). Activities for all ages are included, but we ask that you accompany and supervise small children.

DAYTIME HOURS: 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, March 21-25, 2016. If the room is locked, stop by the church office to ask for entry. When you leave, please make sure the doors lock shut and any candles lit are extinguished.

Devotional guides, called PVUMC Passports, are available in the room. You’re welcome to take one home if you would like to spend more time in meditation during the week, reflecting on the experiences you have had journeying with Jesus.

H1 will be open at other times during the week:

Wednesday-Friday, March 23-25 – 5:00 – 7:00 pm

Saturday, March 26 – 9:30 am – 12 noon

Sunday, March 27 – 8:00 am – 12 noon

Each station has a suggested meditation, prayer, activity and/ or thought to ponder; one appropriate for adults and one for children. Let God’s Spirit Guide you…

We also invite you to join us for Holy Week and Easter services:

Maundy Thursday, 7 pm in the chapel — a service of holy Communion as we remember Jesus’ Last Supper with his disciples

Good Friday, 7 pm, in the sanctuary — a Taize service of music and candles, to remember Jesus’ death on the cross.

Easter begins with a 6 am sunrise service in the outdoor amphitheater, with music by the praise band and youth choir.

Three traditional worship services follow in the sanctuary: 8, 9:30 and 11:15 am, and Boy Scout Troop 30 serves a pancake breakfast in the Fellowship Center, 7-9:30 am.
