“We joined PVUMC in January 2016 once it became clear that PVUMC is the welcoming, caring, and faithful community that we had been searching for,” said Chris Miller, who joined the church with his wife, Stacy, and two children, Madison and Carson. “We have found PVUMC to be the perfect fit for our family, and the church will provide the foundation of faith that we want for our children as they grow up.”

“We had been searching for a church home for quite some time,” he said, “and we immediately felt welcome at PVUMC. We were fortunate to have preexisting relationships with a few PVUMC members, and have enjoyed meeting other members as we get more involved with the church.” PVUMC Members and friends JP and Jenn Coughlin, and Jenn’s parents, Chris and Dave Henderson, invited the family to come to church, and they have been active participants in Sunday School, Ignite (11:15 am contemporary worship in the chapel), and in small groups.

“Our daughter, Madison, has been able to make new friends through Sunday School and Mini Singers,” Chris said. “We are also involved in a small dinner group with a few other couples. In the future, we look forward to the opportunity to serve others and help those in need that PVUMC is able to help facilitate.”

An Invitation to Join PVUMC

If you are interested in joining PVUMC, we invite you to attend our next New Member Orientation on Wednesday, September 14 at 6:30 pm in G2, the church library. Meet our senior pastor, and some PVUMC lay leaders and members, who can answer any questions you have about the United Methodist Church, and what it means to be a member of PVUMC. Following the orientation, you have the opportunity to formally join the church on Sunday, September 25 at 9:30 am. That is also Celebration Sunday, an annual themed event. This year, we’ll “Celebrate the World.” Read more.

Please RSVP to the church office at 602-840-8360 if you’re interested in coming to the orientation. Free, quality childcare is available with a 48-hour reservation. Call 602-840-8360, ext 134.
