As we move through our week of Thanksgiving, we will begin our season of Advent and preparing for Christ’s coming, a time when we often focus on hope. We all need it. When life is hard, when our faith is floundering, when conditions in the world seem dismal, we need God’s hope. God’s hope helps us to look beyond our present circumstances. When the story of our lives is not going well, we need God’s hope that can help us to live a different story.
Maybe you have had enough changes in your life that you need God’s hope to inspire new ways of facing the holidays and living in the story of God’s love at Christmas. Worship with us this Sunday as we continue God’s story of hope through the birth of Jesus Christ, a story that has room for every one of us within it.
