PVUMC is sending two mission teams to Latin America this March, and we invite you to become a 2017 Stakeholder to support their mission work in Costa Rica and Guatemala (March 4-13).
The Costa Rica team continues its partnership with the Methodist Orphanage of Costa Rica, Hogar Metodista, for the 6th year in a row. For the 11th year, the Guatemala team will lead a medical team to provide medical services to poor people in rural areas. Both teams will hold Vacation Bible Camp programs.
The Guatemala Mission Team is also collecting unneeded eyglasses for its eye clinic. Please donate any regular eyeglasses or prescription sunglasses by placing them in the “glasses” box in the church office.
Become a Missions Team Stakeholder
A gift of $25 or more will help pay for the teams’ in-country supplies, including construction materials, medical supplies, and children’s bible education curriculum.
All Stakeholder Donations go ONLY to the purchase of the above supplies and no money from stakeholders goes to team expenses. Individual team members pay their own travel expenses.
Each Mission Team Stakeholder will receive a postcard from a team member during the trip, as well as daily email updates each day during the trip. Stakeholders will also be invited to post-trip meetings where team members will share personal stories, show photos and talk about how the mission changed lives.
Use the “GIVE NOW” button on the church website or click here to become a stakeholder no later than February 28, 2017.
Simply choose “Missions” and type “Costa Rica/Guatemala 2017 Stakeholder” in the “Comments” section.
If you prefer to write a check, please make it payable to “PVUMC” and write “Costa Rica and/or Guatemala Stakeholder” in the memo line. Make sure the church has your contact information, particularly your email address. Thank you for being God’s love in action!
