The Church and Society Ministry Team hosts VIP – Valley Interfaith Project – for a Civic Academy on criminal justice Monday, May 8, 7-8:30 pm in H1 on the PVUMC church campus.


This Civic Academy on Evidence-Based Criminal Justice: An Educational Review is presented by PVUMC members and ASU Professors of Criminology and Criminal Justice, Bill Terrill and Jesenia Pizarro. The program will answer these questions:
• What do we know in terms of causes of crime?
• What works in criminal justice policy?
• What are effective prevention practices?
• Are there best practices in policing?
• What are proven models in offender rehabilitation?

This community event is open to the public.
