Every year, children attending our Vacation Bible Camp program participate in at least one big mission project. This year, at Hero Central, we invite you to help us collect new and unopened travel-sized toiletries for UMOM New Day Centers and the Justa Center. The Justa Center and UMOM provide showers and single-use toiletries, especially soap and shampoo, for the homeless. If you travel a lot, donate the hotel single-use shampoo, lotion and soap you don’t use, or purchase sample sizes at the special sections in grocery stores and drugstores like CVS, Walgreens, Target or Walmart. Drop off your donations at the church during Vacation Bible Camp, or any Sunday from now until Sunday, July 23, 2017. Look for the round blue or red buckets inside or outside the sanctuary or chapel.

Monetary donations are also important to help purchase toiletries for the homeless. You can donate at VBC during the offering time or designate your offering for this purchase on any Sunday. Another option is to give online at GIVE NOW. Choose “Other” and include “VBC mission donation” in the comments section.

Thank you for your generosity. You are God’s love in action!

VBC older elementary students had an opportunity to pack meals for the hungry at the Feed My Starving Children facility in Mesa on Thursday, July 20. This special field trip helped open their eyes to the poverty in our world, and gave them a chance to make a positive change. The church organizes monthly packing events, with one on Saturday, July 15 and another on August 13.  Read more.
