PVUMC is sending a mission team to Latin America this spring, and we invite you to become a 2018 Stakeholder to support the medical mission team in Guatemala, March 10-18, 2018.
For its 12th year, the mission to Guatemala will provide medical services to poor people in rural areas and offer Vacation Bible Camp programs in the villages they visit.
The Guatemala Mission Team is collecting prescription eyeglasses for its eye clinic. Please donate any regular eyeglasses or prescription sunglasses by placing them in the “used/donated eyeglasses” box in the church office.
Become a Missions Team Stakeholder
A gift of $25 or more will help pay for the teams’ in-country supplies, including to help pay for medicines and medical supplies, Bible school materials and school supplies. All Stakeholder donations go ONLY to the purchase of these supplies and no money from stakeholders goes to team expenses. Each team member pays their own travel, lodging, meals, and local transportation (approximately $1,800/person).
Each Mission Team Stakeholder will receive a postcard from a team member during the trip, as well as daily email updates each day during the trip. Stakeholders will also be invited to post-trip meetings where team members will share personal stories, show photos and talk about how the mission changed lives.
Use the “GIVE NOW” button on the church website or click here to become a stakeholder no later than February 25, 2018.
Simply choose “Missions” and type “Guatemala 2018 Stakeholder” in the “Comments” section.
If you prefer to write a check, please make it payable to “PVUMC” and write “Guatemala Stakeholder” in the memo line. Make sure the church has your contact information, particularly your email address. Thank you for being God’s love in action!
