Every year on Palm Sunday, children gather excitedly with their classmates and teachers from PVUMC Sunday School, waiting to participate in the Palm Sunday Parade at the 9:30 am worship service.

Like mother hens, teachers gather the students together at 9:15 am, hand out the eco-palms with instructions to hold them high, wave them as they walk, and help them weave their way through the aisles of the sanctuary, smiling and singing as they go. The congregation and choir join in the hymn, “All Glory Laud and Honor,” … “to thee, Redeemer, King, to whom the lips of children, the sweet Hosannas ring…” as they encourage the students by smiling back and waving during the processional hymn. The smiles and joy are contagious!

Join us this Sunday, March 25, 2018, for the Palm Sunday worship celebration. We also have worship at 8 and 11 am in the chapel. The later service is Ignite, featuring contemporary praise songs and a band.

Also on the patio, the Learning and Living Ministry Team presents “Make a Joyful Noise,” an interactive Lenten experience open to everyone. Stop by the table on the patio and help us make a joyful noise to the Lord! We’ll have noisemakers, bells, and drums. Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!

Come back Saturday, March 31, 2018, for the annual Easter Carnival for children and families, presented by the PVUMC Children’s Ministry Team, led by Rev.Brenda Smith.
