YAL Working Weekend and Work Day at Mingus
PVUMC has a couple of special opportunities coming up the last weekend in April. If you’re a young adult, you’re invited to a working weekend at Mingus, April 28-29, 2018. Cost: $25. One night’s lodging and meals are included!
Everyone else is invited to come up for a Work Day at Mingus, Saturday, April 28, 2018. Painting, cleaning and more. For more information or to carpool, call Jack Shaffer at 602.769.5168.
Camp Scholarship Fund
It costs $350 to send a child to camp on a scholarship. Thanks to your generosity, several children from UMOM New Day Centers have had the opportunity to experience camp, which can be life-changing. Children and youth who have never been out of the city have a chance to breath fresh air and experience nature. Mingus Camp’s faith-based camp curriculum merges how we see God in creation, and how we care for creation and each other.
Any donations will support scholarships for children and teen cabin assistants, as well as programming. Donate at GIVE NOW and include “Mingus Scholarship Fund.” Thank you for your generosity.
