Celebrate with your neighbors at Paradise Valley United Methodist Church on Sunday, September 30. The church’s annual celebration on the last Sunday of September is a great way to introduce a neighbor or friend to PVUMC and a way for us to say welcome back to anyone who’s been away for the long, hot summer, and thank you to everyone who’s connected with the church. It’s also a time for us to extend hospitality to our neighbors and friends.
Come to worship at 9:30 am in the sanctuary, where KT Todd, who joined our Gospel celebration in 2013, will be our special guest. Click here to listen to her sing “Goin’ Up Yonder.” We’ll also feature special music from our adult, youth and children’s vocal and handbell choirs.
Following worship, you’re invited to join the party in the Fellowship Center where we’ll have a neighborhood BBQ featuring:
- Grilled hamburgers, hot dogs and veggie-burgers
- Baked Beans
- Mac and Cheese
- Fruit Salad
- Members are invited to bring a dessert to share (drop it off in the church kitchen before worship that day)
- An Ice Cream Truck (treats for purchase)
Church ministry teams will share homemade desserts.
Suggested donation to attend is $10/person or $30/family. Pay at the door with cash or check or online at GIVE NOW. If paying online, choose “Other” and type “Celebration Sunday” in the Comments. Include how many people will be in your party. Online payment and RSVPs will help us plan better. Your guests and our neighbors are welcome as part of your family.
There will be activities for children (hopscotch, hula hoops, bubbles and more). Dress casually and enjoy the party! Invite your friends, neighbors and family to join you!
Please note: There will be no 8 am service on Celebration Sunday. Please join us at 9:30 am in the sanctuary, where there is room for all. Ignite will have a service at 11 am followed by its own celebration.
