Kathy Ratliff has served as Childcare Coordinator for approximately 18 years at PVUMC. She recently retired on September 30, 2018, and passed the reins to Andrew Ponder Williams, Children’s Minister at PVUMC, whose responsibilities include childcare coordination at the church.

Kathy has been a member of Paradise Valley United Methodist Church for more than 20 years and, in the past, has worked in United Methodist Church nurseries in Florida and as a preschool aide. Her vocation was as an x-ray technologist and she worked in a Children’s Hospital. She is mother to eight grown children.

When she’s not caring for children or coordinating childcare as the church, she’s often sewing. As a master seamstress and costume designer for local dance studios, Kathy has helped coordinate sewing and fabric projects for the church’s Change the World Day. She has been a part of women’s covenant groups and Bible Studies at the church and participates in service projects like the purse and toiletries collection through Susanna’s Circle for women served by UMOM New Day Centers.

Join us on Sunday, October 7, 2018, after the 9:30 am worship service to say thank you to Kathy at a cake reception hosted by the Pastor/Staff/Parish Relations Committee (PSPRC). There will be an opportunity for you to share your memories with Kathy and thank her for taking care of our children for so many years. May God bless you, Kathy, in the next stage of your life.

On Sunday, October 28, 2018, PSPRC hosts a retirement reception for Rev. Andrea Andress from 3-5 pm in the Fellowship Center. Look for details soon.
