Every year on Palm Sunday, children gather excitedly with their classmates and teachers from Paradise Valley United Methodist Church Sunday School, waiting to participate in the Palm Sunday Parade at the 9:30 am worship service.

Like mother hens, teachers gather the students together at 9:15 am, hand out the eco-palms with instructions to hold them high, wave them as they walk, and help them weave their way through the aisles of the sanctuary, smiling and singing as they go. The congregation and choir join in the hymn, “All Glory Laud and Honor,” … “to thee, Redeemer, King, to whom the lips of children, the sweet Hosannas ring…” as they encourage the students by smiling back and waving during the processional hymn. The smiles and joy are contagious!

Join us Sunday, April 14, 2019, for the Palm Sunday worship celebration. We also have a smaller traditional worship service at 8 am in the chapel and a Modern 11 am Ignite service in the sanctuary. The late service features contemporary praise songs and a band and will be meeting in the sanctuary on April 7, April 14 and April 21, 2019.

On Saturday, April 20, 2019, you and your family are invited to join us for the annual Easter Carnival for children and families, presented by the PVUMC Children’s Ministry Team, led by Rev.Brenda Smith. Bounce houses, crafts, a petting zoo, photo booth, games, trains and more! The Paradise Perk will be open selling coffee, tea, smoothies, and snacks.
