On Saturday, June 8, 15 members of the Paradise Valley United Methodist Church Youth Choir and Bells left for a weekend music tour to the San Diego area.

After their arrival, the singers and bell ringers performed for residents at Elmcroft of Point Loma, a senior living community. That evening, they enjoyed a harbor cruise on San Diego Bay before eating dinner at Joe’s Crab Shack and free time at Seaport Village.

On Sunday morning, Music and Arts Ministries Director, Ashley Strawser, played the piano while Assistant Music Director, Donte Ford, conducted the youth choir as they participated in two worship services at Pacific Beach UMC. Here’s a video of one of the songs they performed, A Jubilant Song:

The Youth Bells also performed, with Dr. Strawser joining the group and Ford conducting.

That afternoon, the group went to Knotts Berry Farm and enjoyed the rest of the day at the amusement park.

On Monday morning, June 10, they went to another senior care facility, ActivCare at Mission Bay, for their final performance of the trip. They spent the early afternoon at Mission Beach/Belmont Park before driving back to the church.

Thank you for your support to help bring faith through music to our youth and to all those who hear them.
