Summer Vacation Bible Camp
ROLLING RIVER RAMPAGE:
Experience the Ride of a Lifetime with God!
VBC 2018: July 16-20, 2018
Vacation Bible Camp is a fun, half-day camp for children ages 3 (by September 1 and potty-trained) through entering 6th grade held for a week in July every year. The theme changes annually, but always includes powerful Bible stories, impactful music, fun craft and science activities, special visitors, recreation, and a mission project to benefit organizations and people in need.
Register for One Camp or Two
This year, we’re getting ready to “Experience the Ride of a Lifetime with God” at Rolling River Rampage, July 16-20, 2018, 9 am-12 noon. This is a morning day camp. NEW this year is an afternoon multi-sports camp, extending our half-day program to 3:30 pm, or giving you the option to just do an afternoon camp, 12:30-3:30 pm. If you do both camps, we’ll provide a half hour for lunch from 12 noon-12:30 pm; just send your child with a sack lunch. Registration for Sportball is separate from VBC; see the button below for Sportball Registration, following the VBC registration button. VBC costs $35/student ($10 more after June 30, 2018.) Sportball is $99/child. Both are open to children age 3 (and potty-trained) by September 1 through children entering 6th grade in the fall (age 11).
VBC Volunteers Receive a Discount
Volunteers receive a special discounted fee for their children to attend, and we offer childcare for their children younger than age 3. If you would like to volunteer, click the button below:
VBC Mission Focus and Field Trip
Last year, our mission focus was on the homeless and toiletries they need on the street. We asked for sample-size toiletries to give to homeless shelters and other service agencies like the Justa Center, which serves seniors experiencing homelessness and poverty.
THIS YEAR, we’re collecting underwear for children. Stay tuned for our Undie Sunday promotion!
Past VBC missions have included Heifer International, UMOM – United Methodist Outreach Ministries – New Day Centers (homeless shelter), Helping Hands for Single Moms, Camp Mingus, UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) disaster support, and Imagine No Malaria. In 2015, we asked our campers to collect shoes and money in support of Soles4Souls, and gathered 640 pairs!
Fifth and sixth graders follow a program designed specifically for tweens. They serve on a one-day local mission project/field trip for an additional fee ($5). This year, as in past years, they will go pack meals at FMSC (Feed My Starving Children) in Mesa, AZ. We provide the transportation.
Every summer, we serve approximately 150 campers and need 50 or more volunteers to work with our campers, from preschool to 6th grade.
