Saguaros are a social group of interesting, happy, and friendly people, 55 years and older. The group meets once a month for lunch and an entertainment program on the third Thursday of every month, September to June, in the Fellowship Center. The entertainment program – which has included singers, dance groups, instrumentalists, authors, and speakers on a variety of topics – last an hour, and is followed by a potluck. Occasionally, the group takes day and overnight trips together to various places in and out of Arizona. Attendance varies each month, but it ranges from 40–80 people. First-time guests are welcome free of charge. If you choose to continue with the group, you will be asked to bring a potluck dish and pay $3.00 per person each time. The nominal fee helps pay for the entertainment. If you would like to be added to the e-mail or postcard mailing list for a monthly reminder and announcement of the entertainment, e-mail the Saguaros coordinator [firstname.lastname@example.org] or call the church office.
