Additionally, the receptionist maintains the membership/attendance records database, the facilities calendar database, and provides administrative support to church staff. Intermediate-level knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Publisher, Powerpoint) and proficiency in maintaining Shelby membership and attendance databases required. Paradise Valley United Methodist Church Preschool is currently interviewing and hiring for the 2017-2018 school year. We serve families with children who are 12 months old and steady walkers up through Junior Kindergarten. Lead Teacher applicants should have an Associate’s Degree with an Early Childhood Certificate or a Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education. Applicants should also have at least two years of experience in a licensed childcare center and be familiar with the National Association for the Education of Young Children’s Accreditation process.
Assistant Teacher applicants should have experiences in a preschool setting and six months of academic background/college work in early childhood or elementary education.
Aide applicants should have experience working with young children.
Vocal Music Teacher applicants should have music education experience/background working with young children or are working on a music education degree.
The ideal applicant has targeted professional goals to advance as a practitioner in the field of Early Childhood Education.
